10 things you should never say in a job interview..

Appearing for an interview? Must be confused as to what the interviewer will ask? How to form that positive first impression? For sure, you would not want to ruin your opportunity with an ill-chosen comment.

It's better to choose your words carefully during an interview, unlike many job seekers, who do not think before they speak. Corinne Mills, managing director of Personal Career Management, says she can recall many instances of interviewees saying the inappropriate things. "I remember when one man was asked why he wanted the job, he replied, 'Because my mum thought it was a good idea'," she says.

She also tells what some other job seekers said when asked why they wanted the job "because it will pay the rent while I look for a job I really want to do", and a common response to a question about what candidates like to do in their spare time is "go to the pub".

Here, we bring you 10 things you should never say to your interviewer. Else, there are chances you lose out on your dream job -

1. Never come late for the interview and cover up by saying "Sorry I'm late". To be on time is the thumb rule. Your interviewer will perceive you as a latecomer and would certainly not want you to arrive for work 20 minutes late every morning.

2. Never ask about the company's annual leave and sickness policy during the interview. This will show that even before you have been hired, you are planning your leaves. This will make you look insincere.

3. Never take personal calls during the interview. This is to ensure that the interviewer doesn't get the idea that you are unable to prioritize things.

4 When asked, "Where do you see yourself in five years?" never say, "Doing your job." Though this could possibly be a genuine answer, you should always focus on the experience you would like to have gained, or level of responsibility you would like to have in the future.

5. Never badmouth your last employer or job, no matter how worse your experience might have been. Experts say "speaking badly of a previous employer is not only unprofessional, but also reflects on your character," Your new employer will contact your former employer for background check following an interview, so it's never wise to burn your bridges.

6. "Oh! I did not know you manufacture gadgets; I thought you made swimming costumes". Experts say "Failing to research your prospective employer fully is a big faux pas." Make sure you do not turn employer off by not knowing about his company and products.

7. Never resort to profanity during interview even if the interviewer himself does that. Remain professional at all times.

8. Avoid using jargons during the interview, like "I was very good at sorting out PEBs by using ARCs." Experts say "Don't fall into the industry jargon of your previous employer or assume the interviewer knows anything about your experience. Instead, speak clearly about your skills and experience to avoid any confusion or misunderstanding.

9. Don't show your reluctance to shift timings, uniform or any other such norm. Any criticism will be considered rude and will make interviewer reconsider you for the job. If it's a rule it has to be followed by all including you.

10. When asked, "What do you expect to enjoy most about this role?" never reply with any of the following: the perks, the pay, lunchtimes, my co-workers or the holidays, experts say.

what is Ratan Tata's rank in world's richest??

hi guys just a piece of information about Sir Ratan Tata,my role model......sorry,indeed every indian's... hope after reading this u'll have much more respect for him and also for being an Indian.

Here is a Real Story of Ratan Tata.
have you ever wondered to know  "What is the NetWorth of Ratan Tata"?

TATA Group is running 96 businesses and out of which 28 Companies are publically listed on the various stock exchanges.
Tata Group is world's top 50 Group according to Market capitalization and Reputation.

so, Have you ever thought why Ratan tata's name is not in the list of billionaire's club?

The reason is that, TATA Group's 96 companies are held by its main Company "TATA Sons" and the main owner of this TATA Sons is not Ratan Tata but various charitable organizations developed and run by TATA Group. Out of which JRD TATA Trust & Sir Ratan Tata Trust are the main. 65% ownership of TATA Sons which is the key holding company of the other 96 TATA Group Company is held by various charitable organizations.
So this 65% ownership ownership of Tatasons Limited is not reflected on Ratan Tata's personal Financial Statement but on the various charitable organizations. and this is the reason why Ratan Tata is not in the list of Billionaire club.

if we put this 65% ownership of Tata Sons in Ratan TATA's own personal financial statement then Ratan Tata's Net worth can become more than $ 70 billion. and that's much more than the Warren Buffet's Current Net Worth of $ 62 billion, the world's richest person according to Forbes
magazine 2008.
However, it doesn't mean that Ratan Tata is poor. In one interviews he had told the reporter that, "I have my own Capital". He is the chairman of Tata Group so obviously he earns lots of money every year as a bonus, remuneration and salary. However, Ratan Tata's Net worth is not $ 1 Billion.

He is not a billionaire on paper. but in reality he is the richest person of the world. His net worth in reality is more than Bill Gates and Warren Buffet.
SO the good thing about Tata Group is that,  They do Charity out oftheir Money...they believes that business is not all about making money but also serving the society & nation.
And that is the reason TATA Group has generated so much of Goodwill over last 5 generations.

we should hope that atleast by seeing him,the so called bigwigs of indian corporate world like ambanis should get inspired and play their role in development of country, rather than increasing their own wealth.

The TATA gesture..

Ratan Tata’s humane gestures (in the aftermath of 26/11)

Kasab is hanged, everyone's happy. Some people are praising Pranabda for this, while some the UPA gov.
Now that everyone's happy lets go back to November 2008,Hotel Taj when & where this happened, and meet a real hero, Sir.Ratan Tata.

While many of you'll would've read it at other places, i thought, its important to share this again to Salute him once again.

Following is what Mr.Tata did to those who worked in the Taj hotel, vendors who ran various stalls around the hotel.

1. All category of employees including those who had completed even 1 day as casuals were treated on duty during the time the hotel was closed.
2. Relief and assistance to all those who were injured and killed
3. The relief and assistance was extended to all those who died at the railway station, surroundings including the “Pav-Bhaji” vendor and the pan shop owners.
4. During the time the hotel was closed, the salaries were sent by money order.
5. A psychiatric cell was established in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences to counsel those who needed such help.
6. The thoughts and anxieties going on people’s mind was constantly tracked and where needed psychological help provided.
7. Employee outreach centers were opened where all help, food, water, sanitation, first aid and counseling was provided. 1600 employees were covered by this facility.
8. Every employee was assigned to one mentor and it was that person’s responsibility to act as a “single window” clearance for any help that the person required.
9. Ratan Tata personally visited the families of all the 80 employees who in some manner – either through injury or getting killed – were affected.
10. The dependents of the employees were flown from outside Mumbai to Mumbai and taken care off in terms of ensuring mental assurance and peace. They were all accommodated in Hotel President for 3 weeks.
11. Ratan Tata himself asked the families and dependents – as to what they wanted him to do.
12. In a record time of 20 days, a new trust was created by the Tatas for the purpose of relief of employees.
13. What is unique is that even the other people, the railway employees, the police staff, the pedestrians who had nothing to do with Tatas were covered by compensation. Each one of them was provided subsistence allowance of Rs. 10K per month for all these people for 6 months.
14. A 4 year old granddaughter of a vendor got 4 bullets in her and only one was removed in the Government hospital. She was taken to Bombay hospital and several lacs were spent by the Tatas on her to fully recover her.
15. New hand carts were provided to several vendors who lost their carts.
16. Tata will take responsibility of life education of 46 children of the victims of the terror.
17. This was the most trying period in the life of the organization. Senior managers including Ratan Tata were visiting funeral to funeral over the 3 days that were most horrible.
18. The settlement for every deceased member ranged from Rs. 36 to 85 lacs [One lakh rupees tranlates to approx 2200 US $ ] in addition to the following benefits:
a. Full last salary for life for the family and dependents;
b. Complete responsibility of education of children and dependents – anywhere in the world.
c. Full Medical facility for the whole family and dependents for rest of their life.
d. All loans and advances were waived off – irrespective of the amount.
e. Counselor for life for each person.

His greatness shows that you don't need to ask for respect, the work you do earns it for you!

sharing on FB ?..b carefull section 66a is watching!!

what is section 66a ?

It is the section of the IT Act  which penalizes ‘sending false and offensive messages through communication services’. The section reads as under –
Any person who sends, by means of a computer resource or a communication device,—
a)any information that is grossly offensive or has menacing character; or
b)any information which he knows to be false, but for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience, danger, obstruction, insult, injury, criminal intimidation, enmity, hatred or ill will, persistently by making use of such computer resource or a communication device,
c)any electronic mail or electronic mail message for the purpose of causing annoyance or inconvenience or to deceive or to mislead the addressee or recipient about the origin of such messages.

Punishment - Imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years and with fine.

Explanation — For the purpose of this section, terms “electronic mail” and “electronic mail message” means a message or information created or transmitted or received on a computer, computer system, computer resource or communication device including attachments in text, images, audio, video and any other electronic record, which may be transmitted with the message.
The section covers 2 different acts –
  1. Sending offensive or menacing messages sent by using electronic communication means.
  2. Sending false messages to cheat, mislead or deceive people or to cause annoyance to them.
While proving false message is relatively easy, but the real question is ‘What constitutes an electronic message to be offensive or of menacing character?’ Indian law has not defined anywhere the meaning of ‘offensive’ or ‘menacing’. As per the laws of general English, a person receiving message should find that to be offensive to apply this provision, so its interpretation becomes relative and differs from person to person.
Cyber crimes like, intentionally sending SPAM messages, phishing emails, threatening messages, etc. can also be punished under this section. This section is also applied along with Section 67 or 67B which is related to cyber and child pornography respectively.
so , b carefull guys!!.. u can no longer  boast of ur so called  freedom of expression.....cyber laws r watching u.
